eYou is a new European social network, launched by two French entrepreneurs, aiming to redefine the standards of social platforms by combating misinformation. Starting in March 2026, eYou positions itself as a credible alternative, focused on transparency, fact-checking, and the protection of users’ personal data. The platform quickly gained popularity with over 60,000 users worldwide, demonstrating the growing interest in a more responsible and secure online social experience.
The birth of eYou
eYou was pre-launched on March 17, 2026, before its official launch on May 5, 2026. This initiative comes from two founders, Grégoire Vigroux and Jasseem Allybokus, who wanted to address a current issue: the loss of trust in traditional social networks. “Our goal is to reconcile users with social networks,” shares Grégoire Vigroux. This project aims to return control to users over their online experience.
An alternative to misinformation
eYou stands out primarily because of its commitment to fighting misinformation. By integrating a fact-checking system, it ensures that shared information is verified. Each post on the social network is accompanied by a “verified” icon, attesting to the reliability of the content. Thanks to a dedicated artificial intelligence, the information is examined to guarantee its accuracy. All users can view the verification details, thus enhancing the transparency of the platform.
The features of eYou
The main feature of eYou is its live news feed, titled “Pulse.” This feed functions like a media outlet, listing articles in real-time and categorizing them, allowing users to follow current topics of interest. Although most posts are in English, the platform also offers automatic translations for greater accessibility.
A European model for the digital space
The founders emphasize that eYou is deeply rooted in European values. Designed and developed in Europe, the platform aims to promote digital sovereignty in the face of the dominance of American and Chinese tech giants. The protection of personal data is a priority, aligned with the standards of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union. “Through eYou, we wish to contribute to European digital sovereignty and demonstrate that technological innovation can also come from Europe,” state Grégoire Vigroux and Jasseem Allybokus.
A rapid growth and promising results
Three weeks after its launch, eYou already had over 60,000 users in more than 160 countries. The results are encouraging, with an average of 7.7 platform openings per day and daily time spent exceeding 40 minutes. This proves a genuine interest and demand for a social network that advocates for transparency and responsibility. The user retention rate, reaching 47.2%, also reflects the commitment of members to this new platform.
The future ambitions of eYou
The founders of eYou do not intend to stop there. They plan to enrich the user experience by strengthening community features and accelerating the development of artificial intelligence tools for content verification. “We do not have the ambition to simply create a new social network. Our ambition is to build the first major European social platform capable of restoring trust in social networks,” they declare. This indicates a firm commitment to continue efforts to strengthen users’ trust in their platform.
A project supported by investors
The creation of eYou has received support from the investment fund Fil Rouge Capital, which invested 300,000 euros in the project. The founders are also considering other fundraising efforts to support the development of the platform. This financial support is essential to continue providing quality service while developing new features.
