The Greentech Meet-Up this year will take place on October 15 and 16 at the Parc Floral in Paris and online. This event, free and open to everyone, is an annual gathering for players in the ecological transition. Last year, it brought together more than 2,400 participants and continues to attract high-level experts, start-ups, SMEs, large groups, investors, as well as researchers and local authorities.
This year, two panels will be dedicated to Artificial Intelligence (AI), a central theme of the event, especially in the context of adapting to climate change.
- Panel “AI: a new sector supporting the ecological transition?”
This first panel will explore the role of AI in the ecological transition, focusing on technologies that offer innovative and cost-effective solutions while reducing environmental impacts. It will be moderated by Antoine Darodes, Director of the Digital Transition Investments Department of the Banque des Territoires. Among the speakers, Laurent Felix (General Manager at Ekimetrics), Axelle Lemaire (Corporate Responsibility Director at Sopra-Steria), and Marion Moreira (Project Manager at Waltr) will share their insights on the concrete contributions of AI for a faster and more effective transition.
- Panel “Frugal AI: French and European initiatives”
The second panel will focus on frugal AI, an approach aimed at minimizing the ecological footprint of artificial intelligence technologies. Hosted by Juliette Fropier, AI Project Manager at Ecolab, it will discuss the contributions of the General Framework on Frugal AI, published in June 2024, with the participation of more than a hundred experts. This will be an opportunity to discuss initiatives for European standardization regarding the environmental impact of AI, with the presence of Nathalie Charbonniaud (Orange Innovation), Tom Nico (ARCEP), Jacques Kluska (Schneider Electric), and Anna Medan (AFNOR).
