The media library of Mazamet offers this summer a unique and entertaining experience for teenagers: an escape game entitled “Facing AI”. Scheduled for Friday, July 10, this escape game will allow young people aged 12 to 16 to immerse themselves in a playful universe that facilitates the understanding of the issues related to artificial intelligence. With team puzzles, this activity aims to make a sometimes abstract subject accessible and to provoke reflection on the implications of AI in our daily lives.
Mazamet: an ideal setting for playful learning
The media library of Mazamet transforms into a laboratory of ideas this summer to offer adolescents an adventure that is both fun and educational. The event is scheduled at 2 PM for a duration of one and a half hours on July 10. With this animation, young people will not only have fun, but they will also become aware of the different facets of AI. In a stimulating environment, they will have the opportunity to collaborate and tackle intellectual challenges.
An immersive investigation into artificial intelligence
“Facing AI” is designed as an immersive investigation that takes participants through a series of puzzles to solve together. During this game, each challenge overcomes the barriers of abstraction and invites young people to explore the mechanisms of artificial intelligence, as well as its promises and concerns. The objective is to initiate a collective reflection on contemporary issues related to AI, ranging from its uses to its limits, including its future implications.
A rigorous scientific design
This project is not just a playful initiative; it is based on very solid scientific foundations. The structure Instant Science, in partnership with INSA Toulouse and the ANITI research institute, developed this escape game, ensuring a serious and informed approach to the subject. ANITI is a reference in the field of artificial intelligence research, and its involvement demonstrates the educational relevance of this animation.
Government support for a promising project
The media library has also received support from the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Space, adding an additional dimension of credibility to this initiative. The stated goal is to encourage adolescents to take ownership of a theme that might seem intimidating or complex to them, by making it tangible and accessible through a collective experience.
What format for this collaborative experience?
During the escape game, participants will be divided into teams and will need to collaborate to decipher the puzzles and advance in their investigation. This collaborative dimension is essential, as it encourages dialogue, idea sharing, and confronting different viewpoints on topics as varied as technology, ethics, and the future of our society in the face of AI. Young people will thus be actors in their learning, enriching their understanding of the field through a participative approach.
An opportunity not to be missed
Participation in this event is entirely free, but prior registration is required by phone at 05 63 97 53 50. This ensures good organization and an adequate number of participants to guarantee an immersive and enriching experience for everyone. Adolescents interested in this activity should thus seize this unique opportunity to discover artificial intelligence in a playful way while developing their reflective and teamwork skills.
