découvrez les nouvelles fonctionnalités déployées cette nuit sur canal+. contrôlez facilement votre décodeur et profitez d'une expérience améliorée avec de nombreuses nouveautés.

On the night of March 29 to 30, 2026, Canal+ made a significant update to its service, introducing many novelties for its subscribers. This overhaul includes the arrival of new channels, changes in picture quality, as well as changes in channel numbering. Subscribers are invited to check their decoder to fully enjoy these new features.

Canal+: Check Your Decoder

With the arrival of these new options, it is essential for subscribers to check their decoder. The update sometimes requires adjustments in settings to ensure the best viewing experience. For those using satellite, enabling UHD HDR is crucial for enjoying improved high definition. That’s why Canal+ recommends leaving the setting on “Auto” to avoid any display issues, such as a black screen or distorted colors.

New Channels to Discover

Three thematic channels are joining the Canal+ bouquet. Among them, Love Nature focuses on wildlife documentaries, offering an immersive experience in high definition. Subscribers can find it on channel 116 on Canal+ and 127 on TNT. The second channel, Dogs & Cats, becomes the first French channel fully dedicated to pet owners, accessible at numbers 121 and 132, but without a replay option.

The third arrival, Canal+ Magic, is a French version of the popular channel broadcast in Africa, offering varied content. The latter can be found on channel 387, with the advantage of offering catch-up options. It is important to note that these new channels are not accessible on all types of screens; they are reserved for ADSL, fiber, and OTT networks.

Technical Improvements: UHD HDR on Satellite

Regarding technical performance, certain channels such as France 2, Canal+, and Événement 4K are fine-tuning their picture quality by switching to UHD HDR. Subscribers must keep in mind that this option requires compatible equipment. Kanal+ Box Office is also improving its quality to UHD SDR on channel 13. A major warning has been issued regarding decoder settings: choosing the “Activated” mode on an incompatible television can lead to significant display issues.

Channel Changes and Renumbering

The update night was also marked by channel departures. BFM Business is no longer available on satellite, while still accessible via ADSL, fiber, and OTT. This change also echoes the disappearance of several radio stations such as RTL and Fun Radio from the same network. Meanwhile, about ten documentary and thematic channels have changed their numbers: for example, Ushuaïa TV is moved from 117 to 115 on Canal+.

The renumbering modifications don’t stop there, as on TNT, channels like Seasons, Chasse et Pêche, and Animaux are also shifted upwards. Therefore, subscribers are encouraged to perform a channel scan if the changes are not visible after the update.

Rescue Procedures and Update Reminder

For subscribers who do not immediately notice the changes, Canal+ has provided simple methods to rectify the situation. A quick channel search via satellite or rebooting the ADSL/fiber/OTT equipment can help restore access to the new program grids. Users of the application are also asked to log out and then log back in to benefit from the update. Be sure to regularly check your decoder, as service adjustments typically take place overnight.
